Staatsangehörige der folgenden Staaten können ohne mitgebrachtes Visum als Touristen in Thailand einreisen. Sie bekommen ohne weitere Formalitäten ein 30-Tage-Aufenthaltsrecht eingeräumt. Voraussetzung ist jedoch, dass sie ein bezahltes Ticket für einen Rückflug innerhalb 30 Tagen und für den Aufenthalt in Thailand entsprechende Geldmittel besitzen (20.000 Baht pro Person oder 40.000 Baht pro Familie).

Für Bürger weiterer 20 Staaten gibt es das Visum bei Ankunft (Visa On Arrival) für maximal 15 Tage. Voraussetzung ist auch hier, dass sie für den Aufenthalt in Thailand entsprechende Geldmittel besitzen müssen. Das sind 20.000 Baht pro Person oder 40.000 Baht pro Familie. Zusätzlich muss ein bezahltes Rückflugticket für spätestens den 15. Tag nach der Einreise vorhanden sein. Ein Passbild (4 x 6 cm) ist erforderlich. Die Gebühr für dieses Visum beträgt 1000 Baht. Eine Verlängerung ist nicht möglich, es sei denn, die Rückreise kann krankheitsbedingt nicht angetreten werden.
